course is designed to provide the knowledge and basic
skill needed to enter the Provincial Hairstylist Apprenticeship
Program. The course consists of 1400 hours of in school
training in theory and practical components.

Preparation
Successful
graduates of the program have an opportunity to enter
the 2 – year Hairstylist Apprenticeship Program
that consists of 3000 in salon paid training.
Certificate
of Qualification is presented upon successful completion
of the apprenticeship and the theory and practical
examinations. Many opportunities are available for
those wishing to advance in industry such as salon
manager, salon owner, research, education and platform
