SPONGES
Sponges are abundant throughout the world and especially like living in warm, tropical waters.
Sponges feed by moving water into pores and then the water moves out of a large topmost opening. Any very small plants and animals in the water are then digested by the sponge.
Sponges are able to reconstruct themselves. This means that they can grow back damaged parts of their bodies. If humans had this trait, we could all grown a new arm if it were cut off!
