Tamarck or Larch
The Tamarack or Larch, as it is also known, is a member of the pine family. Larch serves as a timber resource, used in rough construction for poles, posts, and railroad ties.
Larch grows in the colder parts of the northern hemisphere. The strong durable wood is used in rough construction and as poles, posts, and railway ties. Its close-grained, durable wood is used in flooring. The European larch is an important timber tree in Europe, where it has been planted extensively as a crop. It is grown in North America as an ornamental tree.
